WORLD'S TALLEST TOWER BURJ KHALIFA

   Burj Khalifa is constructed by a division of Al Ghurair Investment at a height of  829.8 m(2000Ft) with cost of 1.5 billion us dollars and inaugrated on 04th januvary 2010.It has total 163 floors with an observation deck at 124th floor and 147th floor for bird’s eye view.Khalifa has aircon unit at every 35 floors from where people can exit in case of emergency.It has total 24,438 windows in the tower.It has restaurant 122nd floor named as atmosphere.

The uniquely designed and challenges of building Khalifa have been featured in a number of television documentaries including the Big, Bigger, Biggest series on the National Geographic and the Mega Builders series on  Discovery Channel.

 There is also a fountain at khalifa designed by WET Enterprises at a cost of Dirham 800 million.Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 50 coloured projectors which are accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music.The Burj Khalifa fountain shoots water jets as high as 50-storey building.

The show happens in the evening after 6pm every 30 minutes.Baba Yetu song was played at the  Fountain show,it was nominated for a Grammy Award (02 December 2010).This  song received an grammy award,it was for the first time a video game tune received an award composed by christopher tin.

Emaar properties announced on July 2008 there would be a naming competition to decide what to call the new fountain  with a first prize of AED 100,000. Dubai residents were only eligible to enter. Competition ended on 15 September 2008 with 4,000 entries and 15 people suggested "Dubai Fountain" which Emaar management, architects and brand consultants decides the winning name.
